easyJet has launched the first flights and holidays on a new year-round route from Glasgow to Egypt’s scuba-diving hotspot Hurghada, meaning customers have even more choice for their winter holiday.
The first flight took off this morning and is now operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are delighted to have launched our new service from Glasgow to Hurghada, providing our customers with direct and convenient departures twice a week and brilliant winter sun packages to Egypt’s scuba-diving hotspot.”
Christopher Tibbett, Head of Airline Relations and Marketing for Glasgow Airport, said: “It’s great to welcome back the Hurghada service and to see easyJet add yet another sunshine route to the airline’s growing destination list at Glasgow Airport.
“This Red Sea destination has everything from stunning sandy beaches with some of the diving sites in the world to the old-town charm of Hurghada City.”
