Things to do in Agadir
Go to the Beach
The pleasant climate means no matter what time of year you visit, it’s usually t-shirt weather. The coastline stretches for over 10 kilometres, making it a brilliant beach destination, with plenty of sun-drenched promenades to choose from, where you can eat, drink and relax while on holiday.
Jet-Skiing, Quad Biking & Camel Trekking
When you’re not relaxing on the beach or ordering cocktails from the bar of your hotel pool, you’ll probably be taking some jet-skis out for a spin, driving some quad bikes into the desert, or having a go at a spot of camel trekking.
Take in the Arabic Architecture
While much of the city was destroyed by an earthquake in 1960, it’s been beautifully rebuilt and many of its more contemporary buildings give nods to the city’s past. You’ll find mesmerising Arabic architecture, an array of ornate mosques as well as scores of fascinating museums and art galleries.
Visit Kasbah Hilltop
Breaks to Agadir aren’t complete without a visit to its hilltop Kasbah – built in 1540 the medieval Arabic architecture is as impressive as the cityscapes and shimmering bay panoramas. For an all-round delightful sunny break with a hefty dose of culture, few places are better than Agadir.
